Brief Personal History

I have lived all over the place. My father was a Marine, but thats not why we moved so much, he got out when my sister was born, I was 2 at the time, so I don't remember any of it, or Camp Pendleton. The cause of our frequent moves were that my father then went into the computer consulting field, and it seems as though IT moves more than the USMC. I have lived in Camp Pendleton California, Enfield Conneticut, Savannah Georgia, Jeffersonville Indiana, Pensacola Florida, Corpus Christi Texas, Atlanta Georgia, Jasper Georgia. Through my crazy adventures, I have visited Hawaii, Costa Rica, Washington DC, Squaw Valley California, Crested Bute Colorado, Mexico, Boca Raton Florida, South California (Caming trip from LA to San Fransisco and back) .

More about Me

I was married for 5 years. I am looking for someone that feels natural to be with, someone with self confidence and determination that I could see having children with.
I currently have a dog, I prefer big dogs, but I love my chihuahua. I can't stand yippie hyper dogs, so I got a chihuahua - pug mix, its much calmer. He was the runt of the litter and kind of retarded, his name is Ralpf, after Ralph Wiggam of the Simpsons.

My Computers

My infastructure consists of 2 server computers, a router computer, a workstation, 2 laptops, a TV computer, and a suplimental desktop dubbed "sandbox" as it is used for "dangerous" programs of questionable origin. The first Server just stores data in its 760Gig LVM array, files and mysql storage, and serves it up over NFS and SMB. Not that 760Gig seems impressive anymore, but I had the array at 360Gig when the biggest HDD you could buy was 60Gig. Using LVM and ReiserFS are nice, as you can add a HDD to the computer, add it to the array and expand the filesystem to the newly added space all while your still online, serving files. The second server provides most network services, DHCP, DNS, PPTP, SMB Auth Domain Server, ect... Also does tape backup and is equiped with a dvd-rw, LS-120, and Zip 100 and a flash reader for about every card out there. It's nice to be able to read any media that comes across my desk. I have a computer hooked up to my TV, just for my TV, it is handy for warching DVDs and internet media streams like DW and the BBC. The workstation has 4 heads; it's amasing how handy and more productive I can be with a multi-head system.

Things I like

As I find things I like I just throw their logo up here.
I've had 3 of their trucks, and I like them all very much. Rum... mmm... I do like a good Rum and coke I've had Logitech pointing devices since I had my first computer. I actualy still have it and it works, but its an ISA card bus mouse (Hi-Rez Model) Yep, im a Trekie Gentoo, a very well put together linux distribution with huge opportunities for optimization and portability that works smoother than any other system I've seen.
Buck makes good knifes.
